NATIONAL TEAM ROPING
MEMBERSHIP
National Team Roping (NTR) was founded by veteran event producer, Ty Yost, in March of 2013, with the intent to provide high-paying events with low entry fees, reversing the trend in the industry of higher and higher fees for large payoffs. Now in its eleventh year, the NTR has more than 6,000 members and 60 sanctioned events throughout the U.S.

Contestants must have both a Global Handicaps AND an NTR or NTR VIP Membership to compete at any NTR Event.
Current NTR Membership or NTR VIP Membership is required to rope in any National Team Roping event. National Team Roping memberships purchased after October 1, 2024, are good through December 31, 2025. The 2025 NTR membership is $50. Ropers 70 and older, or 12 and under, within the calendar year will receive complimentary memberships.
NTR VIP memberships are only available to ropers 21 and over. NTR VIP Membership is $150. If you already have a current 2025 NTR membership or a free Legends membership you can upgrade to VIP status for $100.
GLOBAL HANDICAPS OBSERVED. A $60 GLOBAL HANDICAP CARD IS REQUIRED. HOWEVER, IT IS COMPLIMENTARY WITH YOUR 2025 WSTR, USTRC, KEY CARD OR KEY CARD MAX MEMBERSHIP. Global Handicap card purchase is not applied or eligible for upgrade to WSTR, USTRC, Key Card or Key Card Max membership fees if purchased in advance. For more information visit GlobalHandicaps.com.
If you have an Elite number, you can rope in all of our ropings, but the same rules apply. That means two Elites can’t rope together if their combined handicap exceeds the roping number.
